THE CHALLENGE
SAVA Amsterdam wanted to elevate its packaging system to reflect its refined,
minimalist brand ethos while enhancing the unboxing experience.
Key goals included:
Ensuring all components fit standard mailboxes to avoid delivery issues.
Creating subtle but clear distinctions for new vs. returning customers.
Embedding touchpoints for storytelling, upselling, and styling inspiration.
Improving the presentation of individual items inside the pouch (especially the PVC zip bags).
Maintaining cost-efficiency and a lightweight footprint without sacrificing elegance.
THE SOLUTION
Design Fuel proposed a modular packaging system grounded in minimalism, tactility, and intention. We worked across multiple iterations to meet both brand and logistical needs:
Mailer Bag:
A white poly mailer with centered logo in black—lightweight, refined, and aligned with existing brand elements.
Protective Box:
A matte black drawer-style rigid box with subtle ribbon pull and the option for a silver foil logo and inner lid message. The slim profile ensures it fits standard mailboxes.
Jewelry Pouch:
A new microsuede pouch sized slightly larger than the original, featuring foil-stamped branding and a structured grosgrain ribbon pull for a luxe finish.
PVC Zip Pouches:
Two refined slider options (with or without ring attachment) to hold individual jewelry items—cleaner and more retail-ready than previous versions.
Thank-You & Upsell Cards:
Custom insert cards differentiated for new vs. returning customers. QR codes offer access to styling tips, outfit pairings, or upsell promos.
Optional Enhancements:
Style cards, multiple box sizes, and content-driven inserts to deepen brand experience and drive repeat engagement.
